In Season 7 I'll be making my first proper go at a decent movie and I already have a good idea of what it will include.

Expect

-Duels

-3v3

-World PvP

-Possibly 5v5

But for the dueling section I'm calling you dingblog! I would like you to comment and suggest WHO from DOOM SQUAD, or Stormscale for that matter, you would like to see me duel!

Dingblog will see a release of extra footage including outtakes, additional duels, vent recordings if I figure out how to, and possibly a commentary.

Screenie of the Blog

UPDATE:

I nearly died laughing as I watched Mcnasty's new video when he beat Dakkroth in 2v2 with a hateful geared rogue rofl. Mcnasty never fails to deliver, the movie in general is worth checking out not just that fight ! You can watch it here.

For this screenie, I have chosen to show a ss of Dakkroth after he ninja'd 3 items from Naxx 25, some weeks ago.

For the record, I've never posted anything on dingblog about him and I had never even heard of him until a few weeks ago.

Arena/Duel Movie Coming Soon

A new movie is on the way from me in the coming week, focusing on Arenas and Duels. If you read my blog back when my old RMP disbanded you will be aware that I was planning to make an RMP movie. The movie is finally going to come which will contain footage with my new team. But there is a slight twist. We run with a Shadow Priest!

Stay tuned for for some Rogue Mage Shadow Priest 3's action and some Rogue Mage 2's, coupled with a few duels. Keep in mind this is still made with iMovie and free Mac recording software, but it will still be a good watch.

My first well edited movie with even better quality will be coming in some months time, when I get a PC and can finally record with Fraps and edit with Sony Vegas.

Metabolic Movie Coming Soon

You may or may not know of Metabolic, an awesome player whose new movie will be coming soon and will also contain duels against me in a rather odd location! Keep on the look out as it is definetly one worth watching.

You can watch his current videos here.

Screenie of the Entry

The screenie of the Entry this time around is one I took again by accident xD It shows me on my older realm of Terenas doing some Wsg with friends. I am actually zoomed out so you can see my Mac's Desktop here.

I've dropped Enchanting and I'm now leveling Jewelcrafting, so my proffesions will be JC/Engineering.

The journey to level it will be a long *cough EXPENSIVE cough* one, but it shall be worth it!

I'm using a guide to level it which you can find here.

I'm also going to be gemmed full attack power in season 7 btw.

Oh yeah and Vexx is leveling Engineering to go with his Enchanting.

The legend who designed the electric guitar as we know it today, Les Paul, has died aged 94.

So much of a legend was he that one of the world most iconic guitars, the Gibson Les Paul, was named after him.

He was a in a car accident a number of years ago and damaged his shoulder. The doctors then told him that his arm would have to remain in the same position for the rest of his life, and Les Paul saw to it that his arm was to stay in a position where he could still play the guitar.

A truly great pioneer of Rock n Roll and the Guitar, Les Paul will never be forgotten.

I myself own a vintage 59' Les Paul, which I absolutely love.

Respect.

7 Min Movie of STV DOOM SQUAD PvP

A couple of days ago a few of us went to Stranglethorn Vale to look for some PvP in the Gurubashi Arena, where the chest spawns.

Eventually 10+ people arrived and we had some fun doing some 4v4 games and a dirty Free for All Gankfest.

I recorded 7 Minutes of it and threw it together quickly in this video. Sorry I couldn't get more but due to the way recording things works with Macs (at least the stuff that comes with it) it takes a few minutes to compress after recording is done and while it compresses you are unable to record anything.

This is realeased only on Dingblog and not on Warcraftmovies as, strictly, it is not a proper movie ^^

It is uploaded on noobflicks and you can watch it here.

Songlist:

You're Gonna Go Far Kid - Offspring

Watershed (Fred Shnieder Version) - Foo Fighters

Note: The first song is a bit jumpy in parts, but the second one is fine.

Old Screenies

I have a few old screenshots lying around (some much older than others) and I'll upload some interesting or fun ones every new blog post.

This one I actually took by accident when I hit my screen shot keybind mid arena lol. It shows my old Rogue Mage Priest team fighting a Gladiator Retribution Paladin, Warrior and Resto Shaman team, which we beat.

Originally posted on my Priest's guild's forum and website (IS GOOD) by myself, here is a Rogue Guide focusing on getting started.

This guide will be in the following order:

Notes on Hit Rating
Spec
Gems
Glyphs
Enchants
Essential Addons/UI
Essential Macros
My Keybinds

Notes on Hit Rating

For PvP, 166 Hit Rating (5%) is needed. To achieve this with full PvP Gear you need the following:

PvP Cloak with Hit Rating Instead of Crit Rating
PvP Neck with Hit Rating Instead of Crit Rating
PvP Deadly Ring
2x 8 Agility and 8 Hit Rating Gems or 16 Attack Power and 8 Hit Rating Gems (To be put in your shoulder socket and your Chest's Yellow Socket.)

Spec

For arena there is really only 1 spec to go. Prep Mutilate. Other specs work but this is the easiest and best in general. With a healer Hunger for Blood Mutilate can work as you will pump out more damage. The downsides I can see here are getting outplayed by a 2 Dps Lineup, especially one with a rogue in it.

41 5 25 Preparation Mutilate

This is the standard Prep Mutilate Spec for arena, although it does leave you a few things you can play about with according to your personal playstyle and preferences.

Dual Spec

For your second spec you should either have a PvE Hunger for Blood Spec (ewwww) or a second PvP spec for fun in battlegrounds or situational arenas.

My Second Spec is Shadow Dance, since it's really fun to play about with and has some sick burst in battlegrounds with berserker Big Grin

51 13 7 Hunger for Blood Mutilate

17 0 54 Shadow Dance

Gems

The first thing you need to ask yourself is
"Do i want to gem for attack power or agility?"

At the moment I have chosen Agility as in my opinion you need at least 30% crit, which Agility gives you. Obviously choosing agility means you do slightly less damage at the cost of not gimping your critical strike chance.

Choosing Attack Power can be great too, especially if you play Shadow Dance as it will be well in excess of 4k and with the Shadow Dance talents your crit isn't too bad either as you gain extra Agility. You do more damage with Attack Power obviously, but generally personal preference is the biggest issue when deciding.

Once you've made up your mind, here is the template for which you should gem to.

Meta: 21 Agility and +3% Increased Critical Strike Damage
Red: Either 16 Agility or 32 Attack Power
Blue: Either 8 Agility and 12 Stamina or 16 Attack Power and 12 Stamina
Yellow: Either 8 Agility and 8 Hit Rating or 16 Attack Power and 8 Hit Rating

Note: In my Boots I choose to have another Red Gem (16 Agility or 32 Attack Power) because the socket bonus is 4 Resilience and I don't value it.

Note: If you are a Jewelcrafter, make either 3x 54 Attack Power or 3x 27 Agility Gems. The best place to out these is in your Furious Weapons and in your boots. If you do not have Furious Weapons put them in place of 2 Blue Gems and put the third in your boots.

Glyphs

Major Glyphs

Glyph of Mutilate
Glyph of Cloak of Shadows
Glyph of Vigor

Minor Glyphs

Glyph of Blurred Speed
Glyph of Vanish
Glyph of Slow Fall

Enchants

Head: Either 50 Attack Power and 20 Resilience or 50 Attack Power and 20 Crit Rating (Available from Wintergrasp Vendor and Sons of Hodir Exalted)
Shoulder: Either 40 Attack Power and 20 Resilience or 40 Attack Power and 15 Crit Rating (Available from Wintergrasp Vendor and Sons of Hodir Exalted)
Cloak: Increased Stealth and Agility 10 (Shadow Armor)
Chest: 20 Resilience
Bracer: 50 Attack Power
Gloves: Engineering Rocket Glove if you are an engineer or 44 Attack Power
Belt: Eternal Belt Buckle
Legs: 75 Attack Power and 22 Crit Rating
Boots: Nitro Boosts or 16 Agility or if you are any spec without Fleet Footed go for 15 Stamina and Minor Run Speed Increase (Shadow Dance for example)
Rings: 32 Attack Power (Enchanting Only)

Addons/UI

FocusFrame
Gladius (Must Have)
Natur Enemy Cast Bar
Achievment Faker (lol)

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I've been busy!

Recently I did some Solo City PvP for some fun and it worked out very well! It gave me the idea to share the things I always bring and what make it that more fun. Here are what I would bring along to Solo PvP of anytype.

Sidenote: Use Double Wound Poison if you are mutilate. If you are any other spec that does not have Deadly Brew, use Wound Poison as your Main Hand and Crippling Poison as your Off Hand. I reccommend having a third weapon in your bag with Mind Numbing Poison it also, so you can switch to it and put Mind Numbing Poison on your enemy where appropriate.

Another Sidenote lol: While Jewelcrafting and Enchanting are the biggest upgrades stat wise, they are nowhere near as fun as some Engineering things (although I confess a lot of them are old school items). Engineering is also cheaper to level up for you slackers short of gold like me lol.

PvP Checklist

-Food food and more food.

For obvious reasons.

-Thistle Tea!

For when they just won't die!

-Health Pots.

Helpful in 1vX Encounters which you will most definetly meet.

-Bandages.

For obvious reasons.

Engineers Only Checklist

-Grenades.

Can't get enough 'nades!

-Goblin Transponder.

Allows you to teleport from Booty Bay to Gnomeregan. Obtained through a quest from the Orgrimmar Engineering Trainer. Speeds up travel to Ironforge.

-Ultrasafe Transponder: Toshley's Station.

Teleports you to a location in Blade's Edge Mountains. The fun bit is it usually gives cool 1 hour debuffs such as colour changes, size changes and race changes.

-Goggles.

Hyper Vision Goggles and Catseye Ultra Goggles are worth bringing to cheat against stealthers!

-Rocket Boots.

Pro speed upgrade and handy in Cities in particular to escape.

-Rocket Glove Enchant.

Superior to 20 agility or 44 attack power in my opinion.

-Gnomish Mind Control Cap.

Fun to control unexpected enemies.

-Frost, Fire and Shadow Reflectors.

To enhance your sex appeal. duh.

-Gnomish Net o matic Projector.

Handy to help escape or stop enemies escaping.

-Gnomish Poultryizer.

Why kill your enemies when you can simply turn them into chickens?

-Gnomish Army Knife.

Chance to ress allys!

Experiences of City PvP

In City PvP I love killing mages since they are really, really squishy sitting unaware with no shield up. Paladins are predictably annoying with bubble and druids don't really fit in with the old "ima 2 shot that bitch" rule. However, it is indeed fun. My only critisicm is that the guards can still see you when you Vanish until you outrun them and that a guard ALWAYS will spawn when you kill someone. Not everyone is PvP flagged aswell and this complicates things sometimes. Overall great fun though!

VS

With ZOMBIES pretty much disbanded and a new guild forming, I thought I'd go over of what I know of the tension between DOOM SQUAD and ZOMBIES.

DOOM SQUAD Creation

DOOM SQUAD was a guild created on Frostmane EU souly for PvP, by our very own Acrono, Agramon, and the two brothers Ithius and Helvetica.

During S3 they moved to Stormscale for better competetion (the vast magority of the guild at least) and reformed there.

ZOMBIES Creation

ZOMBIES was a guild created on Al'Akir EU, again souly for PvP purposes. Originaly, it actually had a german B. I actually played on Al'Akir at the time they were around there.

Like DOOM SQUAD they moved to Stormscale for better competetion in a tougher battlegroup.

Azox didn't actually lead ZOMBIES at this time.

DOOM SQUAD Recruitment

Quickly, many players high rated players became interested in joining DOOM SQUAD

and several were taken on. A lot of movies came out on wacraftmovies.com from the guild and its popularity grew.

ZOMBIES Recruitment

ZOMBIES recruitment was always based on ratings, although admittedly DOOM SQUAD pushed a bit closer to this preq at the time too.

ZOMBIES was also full of famous and good players and they often played together with DOOM SQUAD members. Although certain members have always been on the wrong side of DOOM SQUAD, they were very much like a brother guild.

DOOM SQUAD Inactivity

After a glorius season, DOOM SQUAD went inactive during season four. This was due to some people quitting the game or transfering to their original realms to await the coming of the expansion we now know and love....

ZOMBIES Unharmed

In comparison, ZOMBIES were pretty much uneffected and stayed a strong guild thoughout the season.

DOOM SQUAD on Frostwhisper

With DOOM SQUAD dead, Chrille transfered to Frostwhisper to play. Saravok began to play again and went to Frostwhisper to find Chrille and remake the once famous guild. Chrille agreed, however the guild had to be named DOOMSQUAD as there was an alliance guild already called DOOM SQUAD on the server (with only 4 people in it, all level 30-40 and last login over a year ago).

This was were I joined DOOM SQUAD and helped Saravok out in 2v2 for a while. After a month or two, the decision was made to play on Stormscale again. Saravok went back to his badass destro lock and the rest of us moved to Stormscale again.

Tension Restarts

As I was not in DOOM SQUAD in s3/s4 I do not know if there was any real friction between the two, although from my knowledge I know Azox flamed Chrille so bad that he went to Frostwhisper.

Something had happened to ZOMBIES, I just didn't know what. Now I realise that it was that the awesome players from the old ZOMBIES that effected it. They were in decline. I didn't know Azox, but he was quick to insult me anyway. I just humoured him.

Chrille/Azox

Azox was trash talking Chrille pretty bad, and so inevitably (I would have done the exact same to be honest, he pushed us to breaking point) flamed him back. There was one small difference. Chrille did so also on his blog were other people could see, but Azox, largely, did so without broadcasting so.

DOOM SQUAD Tournament

Suggested by Chrille, we decided to have a DOOM SQUAD tournament. Over several weeks it was planned but also put on Chrille's blog. When the first stage of the tournament began, Azox and his buddies new exactly were and when it was on and so they inevetably crashed it. No attempt was made at doing it again.

The players that spoiled it were: Azox, Zom, Malice, and Brakus.

Azox is infamous for his good nature, but the one that really was disappointing was Malice. He was actually in DOOM SQUAD, then left and joined ZOMBIES and crashed our tournament. Pretty low if you ask me.

ZOMBIES disbands

ZOMBIES clearly went under some tension between members and it then more or less disbanded. Hydra and the rest of his 3v3, Kalimist and Redhot, created a guild called IS BAD. Out of nowhere, loads of people left both DOOM SQUAD and ZOMBIES to join it. About 9 left DOOM SQUAD and a lot more left ZOMBIES. This time we survived and ZOMBIES didn't.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon was drawn to a close with the men and women's singles finals on Saturday and Sunday.

The Women's Finals were first which saw sisters Serena and Venus Williams compete against each other for the 4th time. Serena Williams emerged as the victor this time around.

The Men's Finals followed the next day with Roger Federer and Andy Roddick facing off against each other. Federer came out on top after a 5 set game lasting 4 hours and the longest since the sport began in 1877. The final set alone lasted hours and eventually Federer won 16 games to 14. Federer is now the most successful tennis player of all time with 15 Grandslam victories under his belt and breaking the previous record held by Pete Sampras, 14.

3v3 Disbands

My 3v3 has disbanded over certain.....developments. This means I won't be getting any footage for my next movie from that team, but its only a small issue and doesn't effect anything. I will most likely miss out on some proper points this week as a result but shit happens.

Vexx 80

Vexx is now level 80 (no thanks to me lol) and his progressing as fast as possible with gear. I'll definetly be playing some sort of arena bracket with him so expect footage from that in my next, if not the next next, movie.

Stormscale Guild Madness

As you chrille fanbois will be aware of, certain guilds on stormscale have gone under rapid and unexpected changes recently. For whatever reason, Hydra and the rest of his 3v3 team (redhot, kalimist) left ZOMBIES and joined Hydra's newly created guild, IS BAD.

Perhaps they were all like

Then, several members of our guild left and joined it too. The names I have are Shaderlol, Raeli, Ryzee, Naviz, Flyn, Stgeorge, Blocked and Ayrez. We do not know why but if you have any information on this matter write to us at:

whatthefuckisgoingon

PO Box 12, Stormscale

DOOM SQUAD KA7 4RS

For the people who left DOOM SQUAD without a second thought, it just shows how serious they are about the guild and frankly we can do without them. Decides, a small guild of core members is better than a large guild of randoms and newbies.

Wimbledon 2009 Semi - Finals

The Wimbledon Women's Semi-Finals have just come to a close, seeing both Williams sisters emerge victorius and go on to play each other in the Final for the 4th time, on the 4th on July.

I don't really watch tennis all that often and I'm not that good at it myself but seeing as it was Wimbledon and I know that the Williams sisters are great players, I sat and watched the end of the first semi-final and then the entire second semi-final.

In the first match, Serena Williams went head to head against Elena Dementieva. The match was tough for both players and Dementieva actually had match point (if she won the point she wins the match, duh) at one stage. Amazingly, Serena Williams came back from nearly losing the match to a breathtaking win over her opponent.

In the second match, her older sister Venus Williams played against Dinara Safina (ranked the world number one). Williams dominated the game from start to finish and Safina was clearly under pressure the entire game, in contrast. The game lasted just 51 minutes with Venus Williams "pwning" 2 sets for the full duration, were Serena took nearly 3 hours to finally claim victory.

It'll be interesting to see them play each other yet again in the Wimbledon Final, and I'll definetly be watching.

Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire

The fourth episode of Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire aires tonight on BBC 2 at 9pm. It's a new comedy series with such stars as Sean Maguire and Little Britain's Matt Lucas. I think its awesome, and I cant wait to watch it again!

It's basicly about a freedom fighter called Krod Mandoon and his small group of friends battling the Empire in the name of the resistance. Krod Mandoon and his girlfriend Aneka quickly become fugitives with a bounty on their heads. I'll chuck some youtube videos in here for a quick glimpse at it. If you want to watch the earlier episodes the only way I know so far is to buy them from the iTunes store, although their is more than likely going to be other ways.
